Lost In Time

Lost In Time

I forgot which day the sun came up,
Maybe Tuesday? Or Wednesday too,
Life was running away like a high-speed train.
I fought like a Leopard for her lost hand,
Searching, looking, gazing to find the hidden truth.
It's been eight years since she departed,
A lifetime for some, for me a drop in the ocean.
I've surrounded myself with images of my lost love,
Her eyes still have that magical mystery,
Charm, the very essence of blue.
I know one day I'll hold her hand again,
To walk through the rolling green fields,
To look out to sea, a sandwich on the beach.
An engagement party, family all around,
I can see it now, my vision pure and true.
I'll try to be happy now,
Without her, can I find a perfect star?
